Researchers Are Testing Tasers On Meth-Addicted Sheep To See If The Shock Kills Them

In the last few years, a series of incidents have led law enforcement officials to question whether the shock of a Taser can be fatal to suspects on drugs . . . especially methamphetamine.

--So Taser International sponsored a study to see if Tasers can cause heart-related problems . . . or even death . . . in suspects on meth.

--But since researchers clearly couldn't use human subjects as guinea pigs, they decided to get a bunch of SHEEP hopped up on meth instead. (???) Here's what they found.

--Some of the smaller sheep on meth . . . meaning they weighed less than 70 pounds . . . suffered "exacerbated" heart symptoms when shocked.

--But according to a report in a journal called "Academic Emergency Medicine", quote, "neither the smaller nor larger sheep showed signs of the ventricular fibrillation condition, a highly abnormal heart rhythm that can become fatal."

--Put another way, police officers have the go-ahead to use Tasers on meth-heads. (--And all is right with the world once again.)
