Some Broad Was Caught On Camera Beating Her Puppy With A Snow Shovel

Now it's time to recognize our A-hole of the Day . . . Maria Aguilar of Queens, New York.

--In the last seven months, Maria has taken her 11-month-old English Bull Dog, Spike, to the veterinarian a total of 12 times.

--The puppy's injuries have included a fractured hip, a broken leg, three broken teeth, and various injuries to his face, which have left Spike nearly blind in one eye.

--All along, Maria denied she was abusing Spike. But there was nothing left to deny after a neighbor caught Maria on camera last month throwing Spike to the ground, and bashing him over the head with a SNOW SHOVEL.

--Maria's been arrested and charged with animal cruelty and possession of a weapon . . . both of which are felonies. If she's convicted, she could get up to four years in prison.

--According to an official with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Spike will probably walk with a limp for the rest of his life. But, otherwise, he's expected to make a full recovery. (NBC - New York)
