iPhone 5 And What You Need To Know

Apple unveiled the new iPhone 5 yesterday. As usual, it led to a burst of Facebook and Twitter posts about how it was a letdown. And as usual, it'll STILL set all kinds of sales records. Here are the six things you need to know . . .

#1.) The screen is bigger . . . four inches versus 3.5 inches.

#2.) It's sleeker . . . it's 18% thinner and 20% lighter than the previous iPhone.

#3.) It has more features: It can do 4G wireless speeds, and it has a better camera, a faster processor, and a stronger battery.

#4.) In spite of all the improvements, the price is exactly the same. The 16-gigabyte version is $199, and goes up to $399 for the 64-gig version.

#5.) It has a new power cord, with a smaller input. So you know all those white cords you've got? They won't work with the new iPhone. Apple will happily sell you an adapter . . . but it's $29. They also redesigned the earphones.

#6.) Preorders start tomorrow, and it officially goes on sale a week from tomorrow. It's available on AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint.
