Abner is a 1-year-old Husky from Fairbanks, Alaska (--in the central part of the state).
--Last October, Abner impaled his left hind leg on a sharp stake, and the damage was so severe that his entire leg had to be AMPUTATED. But even though Abner's missing a leg, it hasn't stopped him from becoming a SLED DOG.
--Abner's participated in three sled-dog races since his injury, and he's consistently outperformed dogs with all four legs. In fact, he's done so well he even won a cash prize in a race last month.
