Students At The Univ. Of Miss. Want To Change School Mascot To Admiral Ackbar

In 2003, the University of Mississippi got rid of its old mascot . . . a Civil War-era soldier named Colonel Reb . . . because he could be considered offensive to some people.

--Anyway, on Tuesday students at Ole Miss voted to find a new mascot, and an early favorite has emerged . . . Admiral Ackbar from "Star Wars". (???)

--If you don't remember Admiral Ackbar, he's the general of the Rebel Alliance in "Return of the Jedi" who kind of looks like a squid. And during the attack on the Death Star, he starts shouting "It's a trap!"
