A Woman Wrote President Obama About Her Money Problems, He Sent Back A Handwritten Note, And She Sold It For $7,000

Just in time for Election Day, it looks like PRESIDENT OBAMA actually HAS helped someone increase their personal wealth!

--Back in January, 28-year-old Jennifer Cline of Monroe, Michigan wrote a letter to the president, telling him how she and her husband had both lost their jobs in 2007. She wrote, quote, "I lost my job, my health benefits and my self-worth in a matter of five days."

--Right after that, she was diagnosed with skin cancer. She applied for Medicaid, got it, and beat the cancer. Then she went back to college using her unemployment benefits. She told Obama, quote, "In a couple of years we'll be in a great spot."

--An aide showed Obama the letter on January 8th. He sent her back a handwritten letter on a White House card saying, quote, "Thanks for the very kind and inspiring letter."

--"I know times are tough but knowing there are folks out there like you and your husband gives me confidence that things will keep getting better."

--Well . . . in the 10 months since, things haven't really gotten better for the Clines. So Jennifer decided to make some money . . . by selling the letter from Obama.

--An autograph dealer paid her $7,000 for it, which she says she plans on using to make a down payment on a house and to pay off some medical bills.
