A Tree Trimmer Died Because He Cut His Leg And Refused To Go To The Hospital Before Finishing The Job

I'm just as dedicated to my job as the next guy. Unless the next guy is 48-year-old Daniel Antrobus of New Port Richey, Florida (--about 30 miles northwest of Tampa).

--Daniel owned a tree-trimming company called Bottom Dollar Tree Service.

--On Friday, he was 40 feet up, trimming the branches of a pine tree, when he accidentally sliced a four-inch gash in his right leg with a chainsaw.

--The wound was so deep you could actually see Daniel's BONE. But instead of coming down and rushing to the hospital, Daniel INSISTED on finishing the job first. (???)

--About 15 minutes later, emergency workers arrived and helped Daniel to the ground. But by that time, he was already unconscious. And by the time they got him to the hospital, he'd already bled to death.

--According to a co-worker who was there at the time, quote, "He'd look around every once in a while so you knew he was awake. You think about it and you think about it, and you want to go back and say, 'You've got to get yourself down.'"
